sunday school

Ainsley went to Sunday School for the first time this past week, and her teachers could not have been more excited. As you can see in the pic, she was decked out in her Sunday best. The bow did not last very long, and we will be getting her some smaller ones.

adventures in crib sleeping

This is the face of a two month old that slept for 8 hours straight her first night in her crib. It was a miraculous event that has yet to be repeated, but we remain hopeful.

obesity

Obesity is one of the biggest problems facing American children today, and our daughter is no exception. We went to the pediatrician today for her two month visit, and discovered that she weighs 10 pounds 2 ounces. She weighed 5 pounds 10 ounces at birth; babies are supposed to double their birth weight by 6 months, not 2. So, we'll be putting her on a baby diet.

As a new family, we are experiencing new things each day. I hope to chronicle some of the excitement of this time here to share with our friends and family. Ainsley has been such a blessing to us, and has given us such joy in her first two months. We can't wait to see what each new day will bring.
