workout

Ainsley enjoys spending time playing on her activity mat, or baby gym. The lights, sounds, and objects grab her attention more each day, and she grabs the objects more each day. I took these pics of the two of us and had to share them.

play day

Each Tuesday at UBC, the preschoolers get together for a play day, and as you can see Ainsley had a nap day. We've only made it once, because of nap time, and the activity didn't seem to interfere with her need for sleep. So instead of playing with her buddy Jake, Ainsley took her first nap outside.

Drew just can't resist getting close to Ainsley.

Ainsley hangs with her friend Annie.

quite the talker

We are seeing more of Ainsley's personality each day. She talks, laughs, smiles, frowns, and drools. Her mood swings are frequent and sudden, and we are already concerned about her teenage years. Hopefully the drool will stop by then!

mother's day

For my first Mother's Day, there were gifts, flowers, and a grouchy baby, everything a first time mom could hope for! We spent the day at church, went to lunch with friends, back to church, and made a late night trip to the airport to pick up a friend that had completed a trip around the world.

guest of honor

Because of Ainsley's early arrival, the bunch at school was unable to host a shower for me before she was here. So, the festivities took place in May, and Ainsley was able to attend as the guest of honor. She was happy throughout and was the belle of the ball. The faculty gave us a gift certificate to a photographer in town, and we can't wait to use it!

the babysitters club

Ainsley has had the privilege of being watched by several people over the past few months including grandparents, Aunt Carrie, and some friends.

Amberly and Jacey watched Ainsley while we went to a dessert reception. She smiled, talked, and passed out after all of the excitement.

Robin was in town and able to help out one evening when I had to go to a bridal shower. Robin and her dad got to experience the Ainsley no one wants to see, the grouchy, screaming, inconsolable Ainsley. Hopefully Robin will volunteer to babysit again next time she's in town!
